An enamel factory in Beijing produced this washbasin decorated with the mushroom cloud from China’s first successful explosion of a thermonuclear bomb on 17 June 1967.
The inscription in red characters reads 'Enthusiastically celebrating the successful detonation of our nation’s hydrogen bomb' (Relie huanhu woguo qingdan baozha chenggong 热烈欢呼我国氢弹爆炸成功).
